Winter Fair Continues Saturday (Saturday, March 15, 2025)

• Barbour County CEOS Winter Fair continues this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. They have extensive food menu, variety of vendors, baked goods, and music planned for the day. The event is held at Heiner Hall at Battlers Knob.

  
  

• Barbour County Family Support Center will be closing early on Monday, March 17, at 1 p.m., and will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday for the out of county staff training. Regular hours will resume on Thursday.

  
  

• Feed My Sheep Christian School is now accepting applications for next school year. Call 304-457-1135 for more info, or stop by their open house on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 5-7 p.m.

• Barbour County Office of Emergency Management is reminding residents about 5 p.m. - 7 a.m. Burning Law that is in effect through May 31. Dry conditions and elevated wind gusts projected for this weekend can make a small fire into wide spreading wildfire.

  
  

• Any local bakers, artisans, and farmers interested in being part of this season's Farmers' Market should attend a meeting on Wednesday, March 19, at 4 p.m. at Quonset Hut at the Barbour County Fairgrounds.
