Skylar Price, a dynamic and dedicated young man from Philippi, WV, recently participated in the 10th Annual RAISE Summit held in St. Louis, Missouri. The summit, hosted by the National Resources for Access, Independence, Self-determination, and Employment (RAISE) Technical Assistance Center, is a significant event focused on leadership development, networking, and team building. The RAISE Technical Assistance Center, a project of the SPAN Parent Advocacy Network, is funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration.
Skylar was invited to represent the WV Parent Training and Information Center, showcasing his commitment to fostering positive change in his community and country. Known for his energetic, caring, and talented nature, Skylar engaged with peers from other states, learning the art of telling his story and how to effect meaningful change in communities and our country.
His participation underscores his passion for helping others and his dedication to being an active community member. The summit provided him with invaluable opportunities to network with fellow young advocates and further hone his skills in leadership and advocacy.
