SCSEP Participants Needed For Training Sites In Barbour County And Beyond

In Barbour County and its neighboring areas, opportunities for personal growth and community contribution await individuals aged 55 and older through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). This initiative, facilitated by Southwestern Community Action, offers participants the chance to train, acquire new skills, and garner practical experience while receiving compensation.

At present, several training sites in Barbour County eagerly anticipate the arrival of SCSEP participants.


In Philippi, a government building is in need of custodial help, market is in need of retail, stock, customer service, and general cleaning, and thrift shop in need of retail, stock, customer service. In Belington, a community agency in need of help with food pantry, community events, and general cleaning.


Beyond the borders of Barbour County, opportunities are available in Randolph and Tucker County.
