Republican Executive Committee Holds September Meeting

The Barbour County Republican Executive Committee held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 24, at Battlers Knob in Philippi. Action items included holding a non-partisan Community Prayer Service prior to the upcoming election, tentatively set for the evening of October 24 at the Battlers Knob Chapel. The public is invited and encouraged to attend, regardless of political or religious persuasion, and additional details will be provided as they develop.

Other activities include sponsorship of an upcoming North Central WV Republican Rally to be held in Bridgeport on October 21, in cooperation with eight other counties. The Committee also decided to set up as a vendor with election information, candidate yard signs, and Trump merchandise on October 5 at the Annie’s Smiles Jeep Ride event in Philippi. The Belington Republican Headquarters is now open and the Philippi Headquarters will be open in the near future. An update regarding the ongoing Youth Essay Contest and Trump Gun Raffle fundraisers was provided. It was also reported that the Car Show sponsored by the Barbour GOP for Belington Old Fashioned Days was very well attended and a huge success!

Chair, Lisa Weese, indicated that this is a very busy time headed into the upcoming election, and the Barbour Republican Party always appreciates volunteers.
