Quilt Guild Meets

The Eye of the Needle Quilt Guild met on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Garden Market at 107 Main Street in Philippi. This special meeting started by showing and sharing the quilts we had made for the Heart and Hand House Baby Layette Program. The club members then walked to the Heart and Hand House to see the baby layette room and listen to a program prepared by a staff member.

The picture shows a few of the members from the quilt guild Mary Ellen Sparks, Bonnie Riffle, Miriam Rice, Anna Lou Stemple, Mavis Holt, and Patty Bowmar.

Rachael Caprio told about the program and how parents can apply for baby supplies. The baskets are filled with new items that are useful and comforting to the baby such as pacifiers, blankets, bibs, bottles, sleepers, and diapers. These items are free and available to adoptive, foster, or new parents of babies newborn to six months old. Please call the Heart and Hand House for more information 304-457-1295.
