PMS Students Win Golden Horseshoe Award



The Golden Horseshoe Award is a prestigious honor given to eighth-grade students in West Virginia who demonstrate exceptional knowledge of the state’s history, culture, and geography through a rigorous exam and essay. Recipients of the Golden Horseshoe Award are celebrated statewide in a ceremony at the State Capitol. For the 2023-2024 School Year, Philippi Middle School is honored to announce that two of the three county winners to achieve the Golden Horseshoe Award for Barbour County. Julie Phillips and Brianna Tenney will each be honored at a ceremony in the Capitol Complex Cultural Center.
