Philippi Lions Club Conducts Flag Day

Members of the Philippi Lions Club conducted "Flag Day" at Philippi Elementary and Feed My Sheep Christian School on March 8. First grade students are told about the American flag and got to cut out a five point star by making only one cut on a piece of paper. Each student was presented with a flag and an informational booklet to take home. Members working were Millard and Valerie Minor, Jud Bracey, Doug Haller, Debbie Williams, and Miriam Rice. Sandy Haller also helped out. Ed Law made some of the bases for the flags.
