Members of the Philippi Lions Club brought cans of soup to their meeting on February 6 to support the "Souper Bowl of Caring" for the Heart and Hand House. The club collected 29 cans of soup, cash, and some other food items. President Tina Mouser stated, "We regularly support Heart and Hand and their food pantry. At our annual Christmas dinner members bring canned or dry foods to donate to the food pantry. Just before Christmas, members brought jars of peanut butter to a meeting. The Lions Club also makes monetary donations. Several members volunteer at the backpack program and other projects at Heart and Hand."
