Philip Barbour Band Members Participate In Wesleyan Honor Band

“The Pride of Barbour County” was pleased to send four members to the annual West Virginia Wesleyan Honors Band Weekend held on the campus in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Students from 17 schools joined together for rehearsals, culminating in a concert presentation.

Attending from Philip Barbour were Senior horn player, Trace Riley, Junior trumpeter Ian Stalnaker, Junior saxophonist, Carlee Stemple, and Senior saxophonist Samantha Ulderich.

Selections for the performance included “Choose Joy,” by Randall Standridge; “The Little Sparrow,” by Julie Giroux; “Salvation,” Robert W. Smith; Evocation of the Spirit: Two Settings of Ave Maria”: by Rachmaninoff; and finally “Orpheus Overture,” by Jacques Offenbach.
