PB Boys' Basketball Wins (Saturday, March 8, 2025)

• After the success of girls' basketball team that qualified for their fourth trip in as many years to the state tournament, Philip Barbour boys are gearing up for the regional final against Ritchie County next week after defeating Braxton County 55-50 on Friday night! If they win the next game, they will also travel to Charleston for the state tournament.

  
  

• Malachi Cross, PB wrestler went 3-0 the first day of state wrestling tournament, and will compete tomorrow for a position for top 6 finish.

  
  

• Tacy Community Center will have beans and cornbread dinner from Noon to 4 p.m. today - $12 for adults.

  
  

• Artekfaktual is hosting puzzle club from Noon to 4 p.m. today! Stop by for a relaxed afternoon of jigsaw puzzles, snacks, and hot chocolate.

  
  

• Cash/Gun Bash at Belington VFD will be today at 2 p.m., with doors opening at Noon.

  
  

• The evening will bring two events on two ends of the county - E3 Music and Art venue in Belington will host Dougger Show from 8 p.m. till midnight, while 17 North Event Center will celebrate their second anniversary with music by Full Cirkle and Electric Blue from 7-10 p.m.

  
  

• Tygarts Valley Conservation District is hosting free tech application class on how to use web soil survey to help with grazing and farming operations on Wednesday, March 12, at 6:30 p.m. at their district office. Presentation will be held by Gene Hovatter.

  
  

• Easter Party at Battlers Knob will be held on April 12 at 10 a.m. Only 24 tickets will be sold - $12 per child. Contact Cherri Sturm for the tickets.
