Official Election Results

After canvassing was completed last week, Barbour County Clerk certified the election results with the Secretary of State’s office. The official percentage of voters who cast their ballot was over 65 percent, after provisional ballots – both in person and mail-in ones – were confirmed.
In elections of local importance, the final results were as follows:
For State Senate, Robbie Morris received 4784 votes, while Mandy Smith Weirich received 1317.
For House of Delegates, incumbent Chris Phillips received 5472 total votes.
In County Commissioner’s race, Bob Richardson got 3480, while Phil Hart got 2620.
For Prosecuting Attorney, Andrew Phillips received 5445 votes, while in the Sheriff’s race, Brett Carpenter got 3778, and Jeff Roy received total of 2346 votes.
For County Assessor, Derick Spencer ended with 5449 total votes.
