New Store Opening In County

• Saffle's is coming to Philippi! A store that already has location in Buckhannon is opening one in Philippi. Store offers a variety of products and unique gifts. They will be located next to Fisher's Auto Parts, and great opening is this Saturday at 9 a.m.

  
  

• Belington Little League is looking for sponsors for the banners. After two very successful seasons where they fielded a team for WV State Little League Tournament, they are looking to repeat the success. If you are interested in being a sponsor, contact Chad Arbogast at 304-203-6692.

  
  

• Dairy King, in anticipation of inclement weather next week, will be closed February 16-23, and will reopen with their spring hours on February 24.

  
  

• Free new or gently used coats are available at Barbour County Family Support Center. Applications can be picked up at their Belington office at the Golden Rule building, or at their Junior office, located at 130 Row Ave.

  
  

• Heart and Hand Store has a new Thrift Store Manager - Angie Burner, who comes with years of experience in retail management. Burner was also previously Thrift Store Associate.

• After successful lunch last week, PBHS Culinary Arts School is doing it again. Check out their Facebook page for the form that is due Friday, February 14 at 3 p.m. Lunch (soup and sandwich) can be picked up on February 18 from 10:45-11 a.m.

• Valentine's Day dinner at Barb's Restaurant from 10 a.m. to close - fresh cut ribeyes, potato, salad, roll, and dessert. Philippi Inn will be offering prime rib or lasagna dinners for special.

  
  

• High school is looking to fill up their prom closet with dresses, shoes, jewelry, suits, ties, and any other prom outfit part. You can drop it off from February 14 to March 14 at the High School Main Office from 7: 15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  
  

• Mountain State Quilting is offering special discount on Valentine's Day - a courtesy of a customer who opted to pass on their rebate to other customers! Stop by the shop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (or until they run out of cards)
