Heart and Hand House, Inc., has been awarded $6,000 in Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) tax credits for eligible donations made to its Home Repair and Construction Program between now and June 30, 2024. Businesses or individuals who contribute a minimum of $500 may receive up to 50 percent of the contributed amount in the form of state tax credits that can be used to reduce their liability for the WV Corporate Net Income Tax or Personal Income Tax. Credits are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and may be applied to the current tax year if donations are received by December 31, 2023. Tax credits must be used within a five-year period.
Heart and Hand currently has $2,100 worth of credits that need to be distributed by March 15, 2024.
