Millard Minor Recognized

The Philippi Lions Club would like to recognize Millard Minor. Millard joined the club in 2010 and has been very active ever since. He has served as Vice President, President for three years, Corresponding Secretary for several years, LCIF Coordinator, Membership Chair, Member of the Board of Directors and is currently serving as Club Administrator and Zone Chair for District 29-I.

Millard's favorite projects are the flag day presentation to first grade students and the Halloween parade, costume judging and book distribution. His most memorable moment was seeing the smiles and excitement on the faces of three young children as they scoured through their family's "well-broken in" vehicle for loose change and then deposit it in the Salvation Army Christmas bucket. He states, "their sharing was contagious."

Millard appreciates the fact that all members are encouraged to share their opinions openly at meetings on club projects, business and finances. He feels that in the end, the club reaches decisions that help move the club forward in service to the community. Millard invites you to come join us to serve.
