Meet The Vendors

(Farmers’ Market vendor series)

Andrew and Jocelyn Ferber, both Air Force Veterans, were stationed in Washington State and decided to establish roots in WV after retirement. Jocelyn, originally from the Philippines, and Andrew from upstate New York, purchased land in Barbour County and started farming in 2017. Thus, A&J Farm was born! Jocelyn & Andrew have been members of the Farmers’ Market since 2023 and they also participate in the Philippi Farm Swap on second Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Philippi.

A&J Farm grows a variety of vegetables such as tomatoes, beans, cucumber, eggplant, peppers, and herbs. They also raise cows, chicken, pig/piglets, duck/ducklings, turkeys, and rabbits.

Jocelyn and Andrew joined the Barbour County Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market to share their harvest and support other farmers. "We want to learn and share knowledge with other farmers. Hoping to help build a community of farmers and encourage others to farm," says Jocelyn.

Farmers’ Market is held every Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Barbour County Fairgrounds. For more information, follow the Barbour Co Fairgrounds Farmers’ Market Facebook page.
