Ferguson And Deputy Mayle Gets Recognized By Junior Lions Club

The Junior Lions Club presented Megan Ferguson with a certificate for outstanding community service. They also presented Barbour County Sheriff Deputy Josh Mayle with a certificate for outstanding community service. Megan works nights at the Phillipi Sheetz, and she served coffee to an elderly gentleman who had come into the store. She offered him some food and sat with him. She noticed after a while that something was off with the gentleman, so she called in and had a deputy come out to speak with the gentleman. Megan and Deputy Mayle spoke with the gentleman and found out that the propane had went out in the camper he was living in. This was during the winter when it was cold. Deputy Mayle got him a propane tank, and followed him out to his camper and hooked the tank up and stayed with him to make sure he was comfortable. Megan and Deputy Mayle made sure that this elderly gentleman was taken care of. They are both outstanding citizens. The Junior Lions Club wanted to recognize them for their efforts and very kind act.
