Junior Lions Participate In Halloween Activities

Were you out and about during the week taking advantage of this beautiful fall weather, that let’s be honest, feels more like a second summer right now? If you were out and at the Barbour County Fairgrounds for the Trunk or Treat, we are sure you saw at the very end a Lion, Jack Sparrow, and one of his crew members, and some other familiar faces in their yellow shirts. Well if you did, then you saw members of the Junior Lions Club, as they were handing out candy to all of the boys and girls.

The Junior Lions Club, along with several other vendors, set up in the barn and outdoor arena to host the Trunk or Treat and they passed out candy. There were over 700 kids, pets, and families who came through the barn and visited each vendor. Junior Lions Club even said to bring your dog, goat, cat, sheep etc., and they did see a sheep. It was fun for all the humans, ghosts, zombies, witches, dogs, and sheep. The Junior Lions Club would like to extend their appreciation to all of the families and their fellow vendors for making this a spectacular evening.

On Halloween, were you out walking around Junior in hopes of getting even more candy to see who could have the most? We are sure you went to the park in Junior and got candy from the Junior Lions Club as they were set up at the gazebo. Several kids visited the gazebo for their fun evening of Trick or Treat. The Junior Lion’s Club is already excited for next year!
