Junior Lions Club Visits JES

Updated: Nov 13, 2024

Do you have a child or grandchild that is a student at Junior Elementary School? Did they come home on October 31 talking about going on a hay ride at school? Well, they did get to enjoy a hay ride!

Members of the Junior Lions Club came up for the day. President Ted Ware and Nancy Burner-Ware brought their tractor and hay wagon up for the morning and took each class from Pre-K through fourth grade down along the river road for a beautiful ride. Students and staff enjoyed going down the river road, with the fall leaves and views of the river. The ride started at Junior Elementary School, and went down to the overpass and back. The ride was approximately three miles long. Junior Lions Club would like to extend their appreciation to Principal Amy Parks, the staff, students, and parents of Junior Elementary School for inviting them on this wonderful adventure.
