Freedom Bank And The Edge Sports Facility Are Members Of The Month

Freedom Bank and the Edge Sports Facility are the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Members of the Month in November. Jessica Hayes, left, is the Branch Manager and Loan Officer at Freedom Bank. Willim Cody Shahan is the owner of the Edge Sports Facility. Both are located in Belington.

The Belington branch of Freedom Bank’s drive-through is open Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and until noon on Saturday. The bank’s lobby is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and until 6 p.m. on Friday. The lobby is closed on Saturday. Their address is 20 North Crim Avenue and telephone 304-823-1531. The web address for all branches is www.freedombankwv.com.

Freedom Bank offers auto, personal, mortgage, and home equity loans in addition to all of the other services we provide, says Hayes. “We treat our customers here like family, and most become our friends. I love being able to help people with the things they want or need. I am proud to serve the community in which I grew up and have known a lot of my customers for a very long time”, she says. Hayes was born in Columbus, Ohio, raised in Philippi, and graduated from Philip Barbour High School. She has been in the banking business for over 20 years.

Freedom Bank was established in 1939 and has offered deposit and loan services to the community for the past 85 years. Other Freedom Bank locations include Elkins, Philippi, Buckhannon, and Bridgeport. Their main toll-free number is 800-296-1531.

The Edge Sports Facility is owned by William and Alishia Shahan and is located in the Belington Park Extension in suite 1 at 313 Industrial Park Road, telephone 304-518-6324 or 6325. Both are graduates of Philip Barbour High School and West Virginia Junior College.

The Edge hosts birthday parties, building rentals, tournaments, dinners, and other special activities. Special packages cover each of these, from simple building rental to a gold package which includes the use of all sports equipment. Bubble balls and clean-up are extra, as there is a refundable security-deposit. Their platinum package includes everything except photography which runs for additional fee. “The Edge Sports Facility would be a great place for both children and adults to come and play,” say the Sheehans.
