Fire Departments Respond To Structure Fire

Around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, October 13, local fire departments and emergency services responded to a call about structure fire on Airport Rd in Philippi. At the scene, they encountered single structure fully engulfed in fire. The structure was later deemed a total loss. One occupant of the home was transported to Broaddus Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

Responding to the scene were Belington, Junior, and Philippi Volunteer Fire Departments, Barbour County EMS, and Barbour County Sheriff’s Department.
