Fairground Courts Resurfaced

The Barbour County Commission is excited to announce the completion of the tennis court resurfacing project at the Barbour County Fairgrounds. The project consisted of resurfacing three tennis courts and converting two tennis courts into dual-purpose courts for both tennis and pickleball. Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, and has been rapidly gaining popularity across our region.

This upgrade is a commitment to continue enhancing recreational opportunities and community improvements at the Barbour County Fairgrounds and made possible by utilizing Coal County Reallocation Severance tax funds.

The courts are home of the Philip Barbour Tennis team and are open for public use.
