Emergency Services Respond To Alarm At BC Bank

In a prompt response to a fire alarm call at BC Bank in Philippi on Tuesday evening, emergency services including the Philippi Fire Department, Barbour County Sheriff's Department, and City of Philippi Police quickly converged on the scene around 7:45 p.m. to investigate the reported incident.

Upon arrival, responders assessed the situation, only to discover that there was no imminent danger. The fire alarm that prompted the emergency response was likely a false alarm, causing a temporary disruption but ultimately posing no threat to the bank or its surroundings. Technical issues can occasionally lead to such occurrences, and in this instance, it appears to be a case of a malfunction rather than an actual emergency.
