Easter Weekend Is Here


  • There are plenty of activities this Easter weekend - and there are four Easter Egg Hunts scheduled:

    • 10 a.m. - Belington (Crim Avenue)

    • Noon - Camp Popeye

    • 2 p.m. - North Philippi park

    • 2 p.m. - Junior Elementary School


  • Ramp dinner is scheduled at Belington Volunteer Fire Dept from 11 a.m. until sold out. Menu includes ramps, beans, ham, applesauce, corn bread, fried potatoes, drink, and dessert.


  • Also in Belington on Saturday morning, there will be annual Hopping Down the Bunny Trail event by Belington Beautification Committee. The event will take place from 10-11:30 a.m., with line up behind QuickCare and at the Belington Library. Total of 25 businesses and organizations will be joining in with special treats and activities, and at the end of the trail, children will be able to meet Easter Bunny, enjoy story and music time, and enter bike giveaway.


  • MM&C Catering for this week is either lasagna with side salad and a roll or stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Delivery available. Call 304-695-3961 to place the order.


  • Sickler Farm is having soft opening this Saturday from 9-11 a.m. They will have strawberries, tomato plants, and variety of baskets and planters.


  • City of Philippi is now taking reservations for pool parties this summer. For more info, call 304-457-3700.


  • PBHS CTE is excited to announce 6,000 square addition and shop renovations that is partially funded by School Building Authority. This project will modernize shop space and equipment in all three agricultural programs.
