County Gearing Up For Exciting Events (Thursday, February 6, 2025)

• We will be seeing quite a bit of rain, and even some snow in the next 10 days, but temperatures will linger in upper 40s and low 50s - and with a slew of events coming up - it will make it for exciting celebration of the upcoming spring.

  
  

• This Saturday from 5-7 p.m., check out free baseball skills clinic at Belington Civic Center (ages 12 and up!). On Friday evening and Saturday all day, Battlers Knob will be home to regional middle school wrestling tournament!

  
  

• Live music and poetry - Monday, February 17, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 17 North. Music by Phil Bowers and Tiffani Green, and poetry readings by Cheryl Denise and Dennis Fisher.

  
  

• For an educational activity for adults - check out Budgeting Workshop on Thursday, February 20, from 2-6 p.m. at the Golden Rule building in Belington. From managing debt to building credit and budgeting basics, it seems like an excellent opportunity for some new knowledge!

  
  

• Friday, February 21 will see Belington Middle School present Donkey Basketball! Doors open at 6 p.m. This popular event is once again coming to Barbour County, so don't miss out.

  
  

• On Monday, February 24, get to SkateZone in Belington for 1/2 price skating, sponsored by Strutters Baton and Dance team!

  
  

• Whey Jennings is coming to Barbour County on March 14 at E3 Music and Art Venue! Tickets are limited, so make sure you get yours ASAP. Opening act will be local artist, jake Ujhelyi.

  
  

• Philippi Main Street announced super exciting new even on March 29 from 6-9 p.m. - Seinfield Night Out - with costume and Elaine dance contests, Seinfield trivia, 90s music and Seinfeld inspired food! Sounds like a blast to us!

  
  

• Heavenly Hoagies will be at BC Bank on Friday, February 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.!

  
  

• Barbour County Family Support Center is still doing a clothing drive. Men's, boys', and girls' clothing in all sizes is accepted, women's shoes and boots, as well as hats, gloves, and scarves of all shapes and sizes.

  
  

• Next week's community lunch offered by PBHS Culinary Arts is personal pan pizza. Form is available on their Facebook page and is due by Friday, February 7. Lunch will be available for pickup next Tuesday between 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.
