Clean-Up Efforts In Philippi And Belington

By Marija Ilic

Last Saturday, April 13, saw dozens of Philippi residents, alongside participants of the Community Corrections program, band together for a city-wide clean-up effort. Armed with determination and bags, they tackled litter and debris that had accumulated throughout the city.

Volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the day, filling bags with trash and clearing public spaces.

Belington is gearing up for its own community-wide clean-up effort scheduled for this Saturday, April 20, at 8 a.m. Residents are encouraged to gather at City Hall at the designated time, where they will be provided with necessary clean-up supplies.

Following the clean-up activities, the Junior Lions Club will generously provide lunch for all volunteers.
