Good morning and happy Saturday! Here are the headlines of the day:
Both City of Philippi and City of Belington received second part of the opioid litigation settlement. Mullens & Mullens represented cities in the statewide litigation. City of Philippi will be using some of the money for the upgrade of the police equipment.
To flood or not to flood, that is the question! Yesterday, we reported about river cresting and starting to go down, and the schools being on 2-hour delay. Friday came, and the river changed its mind and started rising again in both Philippi and Belington, and the county was under the flood watch again. The schools then ordered 2 hour early dismissal.
Over the weekend and next week, we are expecting a mix of rain and snow, with temperatures varying from low 30s to mid 50s.
