Cases Heard Before The Honorable Shawn D. Nines


Hearings were held before the Circuit Court of Barbour County on March 20, 2024, where the Honorable Judge Shawn D. Nines, Circuit Judge of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit heard the following cases listed below. Prosecuting Attorney Andrew Lynn Phillips appeared before the Court to present the following criminal cases:


Jessie Marie Mumpire appeared and pled guilty to one count of Burglary. The defendant was sentenced to a term of not less than one nor more than 15 years in the West Virginia Penitentiary. The defendant was informed of her ability to file a motion for the Court to consider other sentencing options. The defendant was represented by her attorney, John Funkhouser.


Olivia Paige Mayle previously pled guilty to one count of conspiracy. The Defendant was alleged to have violated the terms of the Community Corrections Program. The Defendant admitted to the violations and the Court placed the Defendant in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail for 30 days as a sanction. The defendant was represented by her attorney, Greg Michael.
