Bo Tai's "Bobaversary"; Twisted Bee Temporarily Closed (Wednesday, February 19th, 2025)

• Bo Tai Boba in Philippi is partnering with the Sister Samurai Hibachi food truck as part of their 1st Boba-versary Celebration, on Saturday, March 1st. This will be Sister Samurai's first time in Philippi, and they’ll be set up in the gravel lot next to the shop. Stop by Bo Tai to enjoy drink specials, live music, and plenty of fun inside the shop all weekend!

• Twisted Bee Studio in Philippi is temporarily closed due to a busted pipe. Repairs are underway, and they will reopen as soon as possible. Barbour Buzz will share updates on their reopening, so stay tuned. In the meantime, keep these hardworking ladies in your thoughts!

• Barbour County Family Resource Center is in urgent need of pet food donations for their community pet food pantry that services Barbour County families who currently can't otherwise afford pet food. Donations of cat food and dog food can be dropped off at The Golden Rule or Junior Community Center during business hours. For more information, call 304-606-8087.

• The Barbour County Food Giveaway has been rescheduled to Friday, February 28th, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at the Barbour County Fairgrounds (227 Fairground Way, Belington, WV). If you or someone you know could use a little extra help, be sure to stop by.

• Bless This Food Pantry has restocked baby food and formula for families in need. Due to the winter weather, their hours may vary, so call 910-800-1071 to check their schedule for the week.

• Hazardous Weather Outlook for Wednesday, February 19, 2025 warns of accumulating snow expected Wednesday into Thursday, with evening temperatures dropping into the teens all week. Wednesday will be cloudy with a 40% chance of snow, mainly in the morning, with highs in the mid-20s. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of snow, and temperatures dropping to around 13°F.
