Belington Resident Arrested On Drug Charges

Nicholas Ryan Jones, a 36-year-old resident of Belington, was arrested on March 23, 2024, on a charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver. The arrest came after West Virginia State Police troopers embarked on a mission to locate Mr. Jones.

Their pursuit led them to a residence where Mr. Jones was suspected to be present. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers observed drug paraphernalia, prompting them to secure a search warrant for the premises. Subsequent search operations uncovered bags containing crystal-like substances and needles suspected to contain illicit drugs.

Field tests conducted on the substances yielded a positive result for methamphetamine.
