Barbour Community Health Association (BCHA) held a celebratory event in honor of the 50th Anniversary of BCHA’s Belington Medical Clinic, located at 70 North Sturmer Street in Belington, West Virginia.
This year marked a significant and exciting milestone for the organization, as they celebrated 50 years of providing exceptional and affordable health care and wellness services to the local community.
The Belington Medical Clinic first opened its doors to patients in October, 1973, and has remained steadfast in their commitment to community health and wellness for all.
The celebration began at 11 a.m. on October 14, 2023 and concluded at 2 p.m. Attendance was open to the public.
“The support we’ve received from our community is fantastic,” said Eric Ruf, CEO of Barbour Community Health Association. “This anniversary is so special to our organization. We are thrilled to continue improving health care and wellness services in Barbour County, as we have been fortunate to do so for the past 50 years.”
Attendees had opportunities to participate in giveaways, enjoy refreshments, treats, and live entertainment, in addition to touring the facility. Giveaway prizes included Corn Hole Boards, a Collapsible Utility Wagon, and Barbour Wellness Center Memberships.
For BCHA patients, flu vaccination shots were available.
“We had a wonderful turnout,” said Debbie Schoonover, COO. “We thank our community of Barbour County for allowing us to care for you.”
