Battlers Knob's Summer Spectacle

Battler Knob is abuzz with anticipation for a season brimming with excitement and entertainment.

Kicking off the summer extravaganza was this weekend's Appalachian Thunder preseason football game, where fans came to the Battlers stadium to witness the gridiron action firsthand.

Meanwhile, over at the Funkhouser Auditorium, laughter reigned supreme, with inaugural comedy show taking place. The events were well attended despite plethora of other activities in the county, and cold and rainy day.

Battlers Knob summer calendar is packed with a lineup of events sure to captivate audiences of all ages and interests. From the thrill of football games to the enchantment of the Little Miss Rodeo Pageant, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

On June 21, music lovers can look forward to the harmonious melodies of Sacred Harmony and Chad Roberts, while gospel enthusiasts won't want to miss the soul-stirring performance by The Hoppers gospel group on July 19. Tickets for Hoppers are selling out fast, and those wanting to attend can contact Cheri Sturm on Facebook, or stop by the offices on campus.

Appalachian Thunder will play games on May 25, June 8 and 29, and July 13 and 20, while Funkhouser auditorium will host Little Miss Rodeo Pageant on June 2, and comedy troop Fearless Fools on June 7. Ladies Night Out, organized by Phillips Foundation will take place on June 20 at the former Student Center.

So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and prepare for a summer to remember in Battlers Knob.
