Barbour County Grand Jury Indicts 16 Individuals

The February 2024 Term of the Barbour County Grand Jury met on February 26, 2024.

Presentments were made by Prosecuting Attorney Andrew Lynn Phillips and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kelsey Gross. The Grand Jury was presided over by the Honorable Judge Shawn D. Nines, Circuit Judge of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit. Arraignments will be held on March 6, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Barbour County Courtroom.

The following individuals had felony and misdemeanor Indictments returned against them by the Grand Jury. All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jaymes Richard Arbogast, Elkins, Soliciting a Minor by Computer.

James Bernard Armstrong, Belington, Wanton Endangerment (three counts).

Caleb Andrew Beverly, Philippi, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver (two counts).

Timothy Lee Cogar, Belington, Fleeing in a Vehicle with Reckless Indifference.

William Russell Cooley, Hopwood, PA, Obtaining Property in Return for Worthless Check.

Daniel Martin Farmer, Belington, Burglary and Destruction of Property.

Clifton Ruseell Findley, Philippi, Terroristic Threats.

Russell Allen Grow, Moatsville, Driving While License Revoked for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (3rd Offense).

Nicholas Ryan Jones, Belington, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver (three counts).

Brian Edward Kennedy, Grafton, Murder.

Jason Westwood Lego, Belington, Wanton Endangerment (two counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, and Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm.

Delbert Edgar Mayle, Philippi, Forgery (three counts), and Uttering (three counts).

Shayne Matthew Murray, Newburg, Burglary, and Destruction of Property.

Shawn Paul Price, Philippi, Fleeing in a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Jacob Isaac Reed, Buckhannon, Failure to Appear.

Drayvn Christopher White-Grow, Philippi, Burglary, and Battery.
