After App, Board Of Ed Announces New Website

After unveiling new smartphone app, Barbour County Board of Education has announced new website, which is much more user friendly than the old one. The new site, which can be accessed at www.wvschools.com/barbourcountyschools will go live on June 25, 2025, so make sure to check it out.
The PBHS Class of 1970 will reminisce untouched by time and make new memories with the people who shared the seasons of our lives 55 years ago.
The first event is a catered finger foods picnic at the Barbour County Fairgrounds in Pavilion #10 on Friday, July 18. Socialize at 5 p.m. and dine at 6 p.m. Bring a comfy chair. The second event is a catered buffet dinner on Saturday, July 19, in the Grand Foyer of Burbick Hall at Battlers Knob. Registration and Social Hour begin at 5 p.m. The class photo is promptly at 6 p.m. The dinner is at 6:30 p.m., followed by a 50/50 drawing and brief program. The third event is a Dutch Treat bon voyage breakfast on Sunday, July 20, at 8:30 a.m. at the Philippi Inn.

Barbour County Youth Wrestling is still looking to sell 200 raffle tickets for an amazing Disney trip. The group, which has done tremendous work for local youth and has increased substantially in membership, will use the fundraising money to offset the costs associated with practices and tournaments. Local region has been recently devastated by flash floods, and Philippi Public Library will be the site for collection of donations for those impacted in Fairmont, WV. Library is now collecting non-perishable foods, bottled water, hygiene products, baby food/formula, diapers, cleaning supplies, pet food, and trash bags.
Today, Barbour County Family Support Center, located in Golden Rule building in Belington, will host "For The Fellas" event, where they will have men's only clothing giveaway, informational tables, door prizes, and crafts for the kids, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
